Essential Oils Cebu - How do we safely use essential oils at home? Sometimes, there are days that we feel tired, stressed, anxious, worried and mind filled with clouded thoughts that could affect our sleeping pattern, emotional and physical well being that inhibits us to function normally.

Reducing Stress

With the holistic approach in healing ourselves with the daily perils of life, STRESS, we can try to adapt a new change of bringing positivity to our extremely busy day. Health is wealth  and so is our paramount concern to stay attune with life's goodness.

We can view or experience stress in  different ways. Constructive stress is the motivating force that is required to move us from where we are to where we need to be. Destructive stress is an accumulation of being unable to respond and adapt appropriately.

What are the potential stress driver we face on a daily basis?


-pressure, deadlines, competition, disagreements, unhealthy working relationships, bad boss?

When faced with a stressful situation, the body responds by increasing production of certain hormones, such as cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones lead to changes in heart rate, blood pressure, metabolism, and physical activity designed to improve overall performance. However, at a certain level, they disrupt an individual’s ability to cope.

Continued exposure to stress often leads to mental and physical symptoms such as:

* Anxiety and depression
* Indigestion
* Palpitations
* Muscular aches and pains
* Post-traumatic stress disorder
* Lowered immune system
* Skin ailments
* A migraine/tension headache
* Drug dependency

What are the essential oils that can help reduce stress or anxious feeling?

Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, Copaiba, Frankincense, Ginger, Coriander, Wild Orange are known to help us cope with it.

There are a number of essential oils  that can be suggested by a certified essential oil specialist or aromatherapist, always consult one.

With aromatherapy, we can take advantage of the aromatic and therapeutic value when we blend these essential oils creating a symphony of goodness.

Diffusing about 1 to 3 essential oils above with 5 drops each on the diffuser for 15 to 30 minutes, is one way to bring the balance of our emotional well being to a positive tone.

Try it on the day when you think the world is over you.


Taking A Break

We know that essential oils are potent, very concentrated and only require minimal dosage, example a dilution of 1% for topical application is suggested. For safety reasons, taking a break of using it is a way to give us a breather. Using essential oils consecutively for a long period of time with much frequency in a day whether what methods used could be a bit overwhelming and we might feel some head and neck tensions developing or sometimes, nausea.

Regular breaks can help in the creative process due to an olfactory fatigue. If we can train our noses to the aromas we like most, it might reach to a time that we get immune to the fragrance or aroma too quickly. Or we just get used to it that it might lose its aromatic or therapeutic value.

Smelling fresh coffee beans is one way to clear our olfactory senses from a familiar aroma. This is a technique especially when we are blending essential oils.
